No Candy For Me

And no pumpkins, no costumes, none of that. Just a typical Monday thirteen-hour day. My first work during the day, my second work in the afternoon and my class at night. I'll be home just in time for a haggard Spousal Unit to be bidding the last of our Trick-or-Treaters goodbye.

I Love This Time of Year

I just successfully resisted watching "The Shining". There is no reason for me to watch a movie I know backwards and forwards that *will* leave me jumping at shadows for a week.

None at all.

Besides, there's movies I haven't seen yet that will have the same effect.

What a Real Cape Codder Says About Storms

"Yuh, it's bad outside, but I figure with the storms we had this past winter, anything that was going to come down came down already. No need to worry."

My work/life balance is seriously out of balance.

I don't ask for much. I want to work enough to enjoy the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed and have some time left over for hobbies and playing with the cat and socializing.

I was expecting fall to be difficult. I'm working two jobs and going to school part-time. But the big problem is really my primary job. Each day feels like an uphill battle and then I go home and wonder what disaster I'm going to walk into the next morning. When I wasn't doing anything else, I could enjoy a lot of down-time and recover that way, but now that my down time is severely limited, the situation is really getting to me.

God, I wish I could walk in there tomorrow and quit.
